Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Departure from Marrakech in the morning. Cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n'Tichka pass, with panoramic stops and views of Berber villages. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, then continue to Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Dades Valley
After breakfast, continue through the oasis of Skoura and the Valley of Roses. Enjoy beautiful landscapes and traditional villages before arriving in Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or riad.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, travel to Todra Gorge, one of the most spectacular canyons in Morocco. Continue through Erfoud toward Merzouga. In the afternoon, enjoy a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to the camp, where you will watch the sunset, have dinner and listen to Berber music under the stars.

Day 4: Merzouga Exploration – Khamlia – Nomads – Rissani
Wake up early for sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, explore the Merzouga area by 4x4. Visit nomad families, discover Khamlia village known for Gnawa music, and stop in Rissani, famous for its traditional market and desert atmosphere. Overnight near the dunes.

Day 5: Merzouga Leisure Day – Optional Activities
This day gives you more time to enjoy the Sahara at a relaxed pace. You can walk in the dunes, relax at your accommodation, enjoy a second camel ride, or choose optional activities such as ATV or buggy rides. Overnight in Merzouga.

Day 6: Merzouga – Erfoud – Todra Area or Tinghir
After breakfast, leave Merzouga and travel back through Erfoud. Enjoy palm groves, fossil areas and desert towns on the way to the Tinghir or Todra area. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 7: Tinghir – Dades Valley – Ouarzazate
Continue through the scenic roads of southern Morocco, visiting beautiful valleys and kasbah landscapes on the way back to Ouarzazate. This slower pace makes this route one of the most comfortable 8 days tour in Morocco options. Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 8: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast, return to Marrakech via Ait Ben Haddou and the High Atlas Mountains. Stop for photos, rest and lunch on the way. Arrival in Marrakech in the evening.
